Crusader had many show successes, winning both the 3 & under Welsh Mountain class and the under 13.3hh Riding Pony class at Ponies of Britain and went on to be Youngstock Champion and Reserve Supreme to Coch Coch Madog. In 1965 he was Champion M&M pony at Essex County.
Two of Crusader's oustanding daughters were Sunwillow Bernina, successful in the showring as well as being a dam of prize-winners and Ready Token Pandora who under saddle, won the Royal Welsh three years in succession and was the Lead Rein Pony of the year at BSPS Peterborough as a 5, 6 and 7 year old. Crusader's line continues in the stud today through his grand-daughter Sunwillow Roma who has been seen at many of the shows in the South East competing under saddle, a new career she took up at the age of 9!
