Apprenticeship
“What good is it to me to become a practitioner member
of the Association? I’ve been practising for some time
with members of my family and friends. Now some people offer
me payments and I thank them saying that it is for the time I
spend with them, not for the session itself. They are puzzled
and I explain, with the words of my Metamorphic teacher, that
they have come to me because they are already transforming and
I am there to provide them with a ground free of direction. The
direction from seed to plant is inherent to the essence of the
seed; the direction of transformation is within the essence of
their patterns that are transmuting from one level to a subtler
one. By the time I have finished saying all that I notice either
a glazed look, or polite listening, very rarely a deep attention.”
Becoming an associate member means that there is a willingness,
within the context of form in time, to explore in seriousness,
the elements at work within the movement of transformation, to
explore the trigger that acted when two incomplete cells, sperm
and ovum relinquished their forms and the zygote was created.
A specific rhythm comes into play, with different phases, if
we take as our model the prenatal pattern. Associate membership
can be compared to the post conception period when, in terms
of consciousness we established ourselves as human beings and
individuals. Then comes the quickening, the opening to the world.
Having given approximately fifty sessions to ten different people,
and received about twenty sessions, the associate applies for
practitioner membership. This commitment is recognised in a formal
way and the name and details of the person are broadcasted publicly
through the programme and the internet. Now we are in the pre-birth
phase, when the social beingness is established. What about birth
and action. This is beautifully enacted through the life force
acting creatively within clients and practitioners as patterns
transform.
Becoming a practitioner member means consciously embracing
an energy lineage that has been operating since the beginning of
the universe, in nature and in all levels of existence. It’s
a deepening of the commitment to stop putting obstacles to the
natural movement of transformation. With it comes, through transmission,
an understanding of the movement operating in nature of constant
renewal, profusion and abundance if the mind doesn’t block
too much the torrent of information, if ego is put to the service
of the heart. What is the particular characteristic of the intelligence
that supervises this whole movement?
The mind can only conjecture. However the intuition, the grace
of insight, at times unveil the mystery, revealing a presence
pervading the whole of existence. Indeed existence stems from
it. Let’s call it the “being” of Metamorphosis,
a breath, a sublime attribute of life. Transmission stems from
that being and practitioners align their energies to it.
When people seek sessions of the Metamorphic Technique they
have already moved into a deeper communion with this attribute
in themselves; they seek out a practitioner that respects, through
detachment, the direction their life force already gives them.
A state of resonance arises between practitioner and prospective
client so that the two persons can meet. As detachment deepens,
new clients are attracted.
A person has attended a workshop and received instructions about
the practice of the Metamorphic Technique and some of the principles
underlying it, especially about detachment. The deepening of
the attitude of detachment can only happen through the practice,
not from a mental decision or will power. Ego is pitted against
heart, clutching at straws to ensure its own survival. The apprenticeship
has started. Sessions are given, increasing the importance of
detachment, the being of metamorphosis dissolving the obstacles
impeding the movement of transformation. When associate members
say they are doing all they can to “get their fifty sessions
done” and working hard to become practitioner members,
to attain a goal to which they have become attached, it might
be more appropriate to the spirit of the Metamorphic Technique
to allow the process to evolve through detachment.
You are hungry; you go to the kitchen and prepare a meal that
you eat, sitting at the table you’ve just laid. Or you
go to a restaurant. You assuage thereby your hunger for food.
Your life force sees to the transformation of the energy of the
food into your body. You don’t eat a meal in order to eat
another one.
You receive a session, thereby assuaging your hunger for transformation.
Your life force sees to the metamorphosis of some of your patterns,
releasing the energies that reveal and actualise aspects of your
being hitherto in potential. You don’t receive a session
in order to receive another session. (If it were as part of a
programme, as the programme is created by the mind with its limitations,
the movement of transformation would be curbed and limited by
the mental projections.)
You give a session to a person who has come to you through resonance.
It is wise to look at your motivation about giving as many sessions
as possible, whether to become a practitioner member or for any
other reasons. Otherwise, you would be bringing limitation to
the whole movement of transformation as well in your client as
in you as ultimately resonances are at play.
It cannot be otherwise that there is a certain rejoicing when
a person agrees to become a member of the Association as there
is a definite commitment to belong to a community of spirit that
operates throughout the whole of the nature kingdoms, overseen
by the “being” of metamorphosis. Welcome to the celebration!
